In it's Nth explanation for Trump's war with Iran, the US administration now says, the US had to attack Iran, because Israel decided to attack Iran.

That is 9 million Israelis deciding that 349 million Americans and the world's most powerful military should go to war.

The tail is wagging the dog.

@randahl
Just wait a couple of hours...

@randahl
One could almost think that the US government is a group of incapable siccophants.

But surely they are qualified, right?!

Ridiculous.

@randahl This is a fucking dog's breakfast pardon my French.
@randahl Well, that explanation sounds more honest to be fair...
@grumpydad yes. But it shows weakness. Joe Biden or Obama would simply have told Netanjahu not to attack or lose all US support.
@randahl @grumpydad he can't do that because Miriam Adelson would cut him off and let him die in prison.
@randahl @grumpydad Netanyahu could have fed a live grenade to Commander and Biden wouldn't have done anything.
Netanyahu didn’t have video of Obama or Biden.
@randahl @grumpydad
@randahl to indulge in conspiracy theories: does this look like bibi owns the orange idiot instead of putin? was epstein mossad?
@steodatus @randahl
Nobody owns the guy. He's just a stupid narcissist with dementia. He fanboys on Putin because he's a mafia stan and he thinks of Netanyahu like a member of his club.
@randahl
I dare to say 9 million Israelis did not decide but just some countable few. On behalf of the 9 million? That's something they have to answer...
Anyway, truth is the first casualty.
@Phipsmo you are right. But I am just trying to show the proportions of power here.

@randahl

And the USA armada just happened to be loitering there at that precise moment, that Israël completely unexpectedly decided to attack Iran, but luckily just in time informed the USA, who were at that time negotiating supposedly, but just said, what the heck, lets join in an unprovoked illegal Pearl Harbour, times ten, style of attack and burn the Middle-East down. Yeah, that sounds utterly sane. 🤡🤡🤡

In short: It is utter poppycock.

@gvenema @randahl Haha! You just torpedoed little marco's story.....Next!!

@randahl
"We will continue until we reach the goals of the special military operation" (which are left vaguely defined and it's NOT a war).

Where did I hear that before?

@randahl @elCelio
It's a bit like the "Special Relationship " that the UK has with the US, except in reverse!

@randahl It had been suggested prior to the start of operation epic fury that it would be so much better if #Israel stuck #Iran first and then #US joined in, just like it did in the operation rising lion.

The reasoning is that #US can maintain legally that it did not initiate the war. It just helped out a major non-NATO ally which is #Israel. This way #Trump can simply go around legal obstacles. While claiming and basking in its glory.

#StopWar ☮️

@randahl These pretenders don't know why they're doing what the puppet masters dictate, they're just happy to be doing whatever between drug and alcohol binges.
@randahl Russia thought they hit the jackpot buying Trump but Israel made a better investment with Epstein…😂
@randahl So the Prime Minister of Israel has the power to decide when and where the US goes to war, while our Congress does not?

@randahl

Let's have a harsh reality check here:

#Netanyahu played #Trump like a cheap fiddle

A *really* cheap fiddle

And Trump jumped through Netanyahu's hoops like a trained dog

Which is all Trump is

#Iran #IranWar #WorldWarIII #DonaldTrump #PeteHegseth #BenjaminNetanyahu

@randahl …😏now that one went really well..can’t wait for next episode tomorrow.. 🤡 show continues.. as bombs are falling and people are dying..

@randahl

The reason behind the war is this:

Iran has the world’s fourth-largest proven oil reserves, behind only Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and Canada.
It also has the world’s second-largest proven gas reserves.
China imports about 90% of Iran’s crude oil.

It’s ALWAYS about the oil… and gas.

The Guardian

@randahl Republicans used to complain that Democrats were letting foreign governments and international institutions dictate US policy.

They also said, and still say, that there could be “no daylight” between US and Israeli policy.

Of course, ultimately the only way to get “no daylight” is to let Israel dictate US policy.

Meanwhile, they keep calling Israel an important ally. There’s no treaty relationship, Israel is a client state. At this time, a very troublesome client.

@dan131riley @randahl "Israel is a client state."

LOLnope.

@randahl No, the tail is not wagging the dog, but the US claiming it was forced into a war it didn't want to fight is an easy way to relinquish responsibilities for the choices it made. The buildup of forces in MENA dates to January:

"The USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group was ordered to the Middle East on about January 15."

Trump likely thought that through war he could reshape the Middle East. Stupidity and vanity explain this admin.

U.S. Military in the Middle East: Numbers Behind Trump’s Threats Against Iran

Eight months after Operation Midnight Hammer, the United States has again moved large air and naval forces to the Middle East. These can launch punitive strikes on Iran and protect U.S. allies and partners but lack the capability for ground operations, raids, or regime change.

@randahl

Finally, a truthful statement

@randahl I wonder who actually bombed the girls' school. Iranian authorities could produce either US or Israeli missile debris to shape their narrative.
@Nazani @randahl It would be the Israelis, that's how they continually roll in Gaza.
@Bulwark @randahl That's my initial supposition, but I have no idea what quality of targeting intel US forces are using. I recall several major eff-ups from the Iraq war. And then there's the whole "human shield" thing; Iran would be fine with siting comms or command under or next to expendable girls.
@randahl
When I was a UN soldier in the Golan Heights we used to call Israel little America. America literally funds that country.
@randahl but it’s true this time. #netanyahu got afraid of the talks between #usa and #iran would led to a peacefull agreement. So he had to move quikly before it was to late. So, starting a war is what Israël always does. #usa politicians are in the pocket of israel and #aipac

@randahl

American logic.

Two bullies attack a victim.
One hits the victim.
Then the other one does too,

But it's preemptive self defense because the second bully says the victim is going to hit him.

@Remittancegirl

@randahl His idea of ”imminent threat” was that Iran would attack US assets in the Middle East, should Israel attack Iran.

Which is basically saying Israel is the dominant party in this relationship.

@randahl Israel always has and it seems always will wag the usa dog to further its genocidal empire

@randahl

Assumes that pathetic excuse is truth. Personally blv BiBi & Trump were in cahoots for similar reasons.

On Trump's side, distracting attn from #Epstein, obviously, but also turning around his bad mojo to fire up the pro-#Israel vote ahead of #Midterms season, which starts today in #Texas, #AR, #NC + fix his legacy.

Bibi also needs a heroic win to offset his #Gaza war crimes & crimes against humanity to fix his legacy, but also pause his trial for fraud, corruption & bribery - again.
