In it's Nth explanation for Trump's war with Iran, the US administration now says, the US had to attack Iran, because Israel decided to attack Iran.

That is 9 million Israelis deciding that 349 million Americans and the world's most powerful military should go to war.

And the USA armada just happened to be loitering there at that precise moment, that Israël completely unexpectedly decided to attack Iran, but luckily just in time informed the USA, who were at that time negotiating supposedly, but just said, what the heck, lets join in an unprovoked illegal Pearl Harbour, times ten, style of attack and burn the Middle-East down. @randahl It had been suggested prior to the start of operation epic fury that it would be so much better if #Israel stuck #Iran first and then #US joined in, just like it did in the operation rising lion.

The reasoning is that #US can maintain legally that it did not initiate the war. It just helped out a major non-NATO ally which is #Israel. This way #Trump can simply go around legal obstacles. While claiming and basking in its glory.

@randahl Republicans used to complain that Democrats were letting foreign governments and international institutions dictate US policy.

They also said, and still say, that there could be “no daylight” between US and Israeli policy.

Of course, ultimately the only way to get “no daylight” is to let Israel dictate US policy.

@Bulwark @randahl That's my initial supposition, but I have no idea what quality of targeting intel US forces are using. I recall several major eff-ups from the Iraq war. And then there's the whole "human shield" thing; Iran would be fine with siting comms or command under or next to expendable girls.
