In it's Nth explanation for Trump's war with Iran, the US administration now says, the US had to attack Iran, because Israel decided to attack Iran.

That is 9 million Israelis deciding that 349 million Americans and the world's most powerful military should go to war.

The tail is wagging the dog.

I dare to say 9 million Israelis did not decide but just some countable few. On behalf of the 9 million? That's something they have to answer...
Anyway, truth is the first casualty.
