(Non-proprietorship) companies should have only two options during their existence: continue operating, or fail and liquidate. They may be broken up during their existence due to antitrust, but they should not be able to acquire or merge with others. If they want to use the capabilities of another company, they can write contracts and trade with them, not simply acquire them and monopolize their goods and services.

A web of small companies that depend on each other for their existence is better than a handful of huge companies that own everything.
