Here is the Maduro indictment.

The United States — lead by President Donald Trump — believes that the Venezuelan president is a corrupt and illegitimate president, who has leveraged government power to protect and promote illegal activity, to enrich himself and his family and concentrate power in his own hands and the hand of his family.

Let me repeat that: A country lead by Donald Trump wants to lock up a president who is corrupt and abuses his power to enrich himself and his own.

Priceless.

@randahl I wonder if he practised that in front of a mirror?
@Randahl Fink If any comedy writer would come up with this, everybody would say it was too much...
@hans @randahl Jimmy Kimmel and the latest *The Daily show* as well have made very good shows with this subject. I can give you the youtube links if you are interested.

@randahl

That’s typically how ‘crime bosses’ behave. Just watch The Godfather.

@randahl

In that context, I’m surprised the indictment doesn’t accuse Maduro of being a serial paedophile!

#Trump #Maduro #Epstein

Image of Trump with young girl emerged after Epstein files dropped. There's no proof it's real

@randahl What! seems like the pot calling the kettle black
@randahl perhaps the author wanted to be able to re-use it with minimal changes for an obvious future defendant.
@randahl I wish we had the special forces that would be able to extract Donald Trump and put him on trial at the Hague.
@UlrikNyman he does fly to Europe from time to time. 🤷🏻‍♂️
@Randahl Fink And aircraft do crash, sometimes... 😇

@Ulrik Nyman ⬡
@randahl I can assure you, it definitely has a price.
@randahl
»A country lead by Donald Trump wants to lock up a president who is corrupt and abuses his power to enrich himself and his own.«
My statement:
@randahl ,Can you compare how people live in his country and in Venezuela?! He's doing the right thing!
@randahl I had to read this twice to make sure it was an official indictment. Seems like some kid wrote out a bunch of paras of text. Is this even a valid legal document?
@randahl Maybe the biggest ever example of hypocrisy. Trump is absent any self critical faculties it seems. Or self awareness. Or empathy in any form.
@randahl I'm 100% sure that most of the European leaders will see the hypocrisy & absurdity in this and act & take actions accordingly, right?. Or being hypocritical themselves in the name of getting scraps of the oil pie is far far more profitable in the long run. Must be a very hard choice to make.

@randahl Every acquisition is a confession.

Everything they say in the White House is projection.

@randahl trump doesn't like competition.

@randahl

Unbelievable!

I’m all in favor of dutch marines doing a specop to Mar a Lago to take the orange menace to the International Court in The Hague… 😬

@randahl
The parallels with a gang war mafia boss take-over are frightening.
@randahl If you get a price from #FIFA, you made it to the corruption top!
@randahl Soo, if Denmark were to kidnap Trump, that would be ok. By this standard.

@randahl please don't call Maduro president, because he falsified elections many times. He is "the guy who named himself president", just as Putin or Lukashenko.

Imagine that it's possible. Because it's true and it's possible it every country now. For the people of the mafia-captured country, there is no other option left, except foreign invasion for help.

@randahl You mean the country LEAD by a CRIMINAL is objecting to ANOTHER criminal of ANOTHER country ???

@randahl well if Trump has immunity under US law for his multiple crimes, maybe it falls to neigbouring nations to capture him and place him in front of one of their own courts? Nuremberg might be a good place. Or the Hague.

Now the USA has established the principle of making a president legally responsible for his actions to others beyond the country it should be easily applied to Trump.

A coalition of the willing?

@randahl hello kettle, I'm pot. You're black.

@randahl And our government just responds with "it's complicated".

No, it's not. Crime is crime.

@randahl Hypocrisy is always a vulgar display of power for fascists. They are "strong enough" to defy the rules of "weaker" folk.

We're horrified but his supporters actively love it when he's a liar and a cheat.

@randahl yet more baffling to me is using words, " — believes that the" rather than making a statement as a fact! Indictments are about facts being true or false. Or, I believe so.

@randahl I love the US.

I'm moving to the north pole, because that's the only place trump doesn't want.

@randahl Jealousy literally speaks volumes for a motive. He doesn’t value the midterms too much.
@randahl
None of that makes any sense as points of prosecution in a US court for a non-US president.
For prosecuting Trump himself, they all make sense in a US court.
For prosecuting Maduro they only make sense in a Venezuelan court.

@randahl

This:

The United States — lead by President Donald Trump — believes that the Venezuelan president is a corrupt and illegitimate president, who has leveraged government power to protect and promote illegal activity, to enrich himself and his family and concentrate power in his own hands and the hand of his family.Seems like a good template for a post-Trump/post-MAGA DoJ to use.

@randahl The emperor has no clothes, but no one — absolutely no one — will tell him.
@randahl
It's called 'projecting'.
@randahl sounds kinda familiar. BABA (BUY ANYTHING BUT AMERICAN)
@randahl
How can those involved in the legal system keep their faces straight. How can these things be a crime in the US when committed (allegedly) by the president of Venezuela when obviously they are not a crime in the US when committed by the US president?
@randahl in fact, it's a trial for copyright infringement, right?
@randahl So his defence will be "Back at you, Trumpy boy. Child rapist."

@randahl
My father used to quote this saying frequently: "If two do the identical, it is not the same!"

It matches #Benavides quote: "For my friends, everything; for my enemies, the law."

Right at the heart of #Trumpism .
