Ten years after Brexit (yes its been a theme for the last couple of weeks), its pretty clear that rather than prompt a succession of further exits, not only Right politicians but also EU voters have looked at the chaos & upheavals in politics that were caused by Brexit & decided whatever its faults life is better in the EU than outside.

Its just one more aspect of the revelation of national self-harming that has (re)shaped the UK's global profile & reputation.
