Two graphs. The first is showing elon musk wins worst tech gronk of the year with 52% of the community vote, over peter thiel. The other shows Zuckerberg and Sam Altman are at 50/50, but Atman wins out by a mere two votes.
Nicola@parismarx TBF I really don't see Zuck as being anyway influential these days, only old people (*) use Facebook or Instagram, WhatsApp is their only really influential platform today.
* Yes, I use both minimally, I am also old.

I imagine a big red X on the timeline charts like “It is forbidden to visit this timeline. It is too fucked up.” Legends of travelers visiting and taking psychic damage from the stupidity. Coming home changed by the horrors they saw.
Like those islands with amazing surfing waves that kill too many surfers, the authorities eventually decide it’s better to rope it off. Too dangerous. Nobody goes to that version of 2025.

Our choices here, on this one timeline we know of and have (whether others exist or not). Though sometimes I do actually wonder if Bowie, Pratchett and Robin Williams are in another one that didn't go to hell in 2016.

It isn't depending on time travellers, as arrival of them would be just such an event, and time travel has simply an *extreme* value of entropy. So that branch of probability is so weak, that it collapses instantly.
