Just finished a thick science fiction novel. Went to enter it into my reading list, and "WTF do you mean I read this five years ago?" I have absolutely zero memory of having read "Project Hail Mary" in summer 2021.

Six-plus years after I bought them, my #Rollerblade ER Pro 3×125 skates have finally reached in 20,000 km of rolling.

It took much longer than it should to reach that bemchmark, but I have primarily rolled on a pair of Revv BOA 3×110 skates the past two years, and that pair passed 16,000 km a few days ago. There was also the burnout year of 2022 when I barely rolled on anything at all.

Taking another look at the brokerage portfolio and IRA to make sure I'm not exposed to the IPOs of SpaceX and the AI companies, and it looks like I'm good. The only index fund I'm holding is S&P, and they've shown good sense about who they will list in their 500. Other funds and such I'm holding are dividend based or are "retirement in year X", which at my age means they're holding a lot of bonds.

So, looks okay at the moment but will triple check because these IPOs are sick, in a bad way.

So many people wandering in and out of ye watering hole tonight wearing clothing of orange and blue. Some of them I'm sure were not alive in 1999 and many certainly not 1994, the last times that #NYC experienced a reason to freak out about sports in early June.
