Music in the UK is caught between the closure of small venues (where aspiring bands might try out) & the decline of young people taking A-level music.

Certainly there are always self-taught musicians, but behinds most if not all breakout musicians are years of education & the quiet going of the craft in small gigs.

If the UK is continue to 'punch above its weight' in the world of music something needs to be done about both these shortfalls.

Even if I had a time machine, and even if I could bring this picture back to 2015 — even then, I could not explain to anyone that in the future, a convicted felon would become president of the USA, and he would invite wanted war criminal Vladimir Putin to Alaska to debate the future for our ally Ukraine — WITHOUT Ukraine present.
