@linuxallday

I rarely change. In the early years, I usually switched due to hardware issues. (Slackware, Suse, Red Hat)

In the 2000's, when distributions became easily installable, I would catch cases of distro-fever and install multiple distros a month. I bought a lot of disks from LinuxMall.com.

I ended up with debian.

After buying a laptop with Ubuntu preinstalled in 2007, I've been using Ubuntu and then Mint ever since.

@linuxallday

I should add that standouts from the distro-fever days were Mepis, Wolvix, Sabayon, and PC Linux OS.

@linuxallday Im not loyal so much as easily satisfied
@linuxallday installed debian potato in 2000 ish. Dist upgraded a few times. dd'd the disk to larger hsrddrives a few times. Eventually copied everything to lvm and ext4, making it easier to pvmove.
It became a sport. I have had to restore a few times after disk disasters. But my daily driver is the same debian.
@linuxallday running #bluefin all day every day! Just rock solid and very nice maintainer @jorge I just perceive him as a person I would trust my computer with
@linuxallday Mostly Ubuntu, laptop, desktops and server, and HAOS on a Rpi.
@linuxallday mostly Debian since 1998. Rar I am a dinosaur. 🐦

@linuxallday I unfortunately had to switch once, because my previous distro of choice decided to cave in to the company funding it and basically go head first into AI and vibe-coding...

Tested out at least two dozen different ones, and did install a few to get a better feel for them, though those tests were always short-lived (a few hours, tops), and on a spare machine, so I don't count that as switching.

@linuxallday Too busy with other tasks to switch distros this year. 26.04 may lead to a change...
@linuxallday I switched like 7 times this year. Pop OS, Mint, Debian, Fedora, Debian again, now I'm sticking with arch lol

@linuxallday

0 times, been on Pop OS a little over 2 years now
