@linuxallday installed debian potato in 2000 ish. Dist upgraded a few times. dd'd the disk to larger hsrddrives a few times. Eventually copied everything to lvm and ext4, making it easier to pvmove.
It became a sport. I have had to restore a few times after disk disasters. But my daily driver is the same debian.
