The train manager just announced that the air conditioning in one of the cars is broken so people who reserved seats in this car are asked to move to a different car. π³ my car is fortunately not affected but it became quite crowded...

I arrived to Frankfurt without delays π₯³ Since I had some time for my train to Paris, and there were some nextbike bikes to rent, I went off to do some sight/infra-seeing. Unfortunately I must say Frankfurt is now pretty low on my list of cyclable cities π₯ 9/n

I am now on the train from Frankfurt Main to Paris (with stops in Mannheim, Karlsruhe, Strasbourg). It's the last leg of my trip from WrocΕaw (Poland). The train is a TGV Duplex.
On the platform I saw people disassembling their bikes so I would assume that there are no bike places. WiFi works. 10/n

The TGV onoui on-train internet portal is quite well made. It offers updates on the trip with a nice map. There is also some newspapers and media to read, listen and watch on the train. There is no music though. 11/n
I will be soon arriving to Paris where I will finish the return trip from velo-city 2025 in GdaΕsk thus closing the loop. I have been travelling more than 3300 km on 11 trains and I have been in total about 30 hours on rails.
Except some delay on the leg between Berlin and PoznaΕ, everthing has gone as planned.
I will be redoing this trip very soon so fingers crossed. 12/n
And of course I will be finishing this journey the same way I started it - on two wheels.

Deutsche Bahn has an air conditioner trauma.
This happens very often as soon as temperatures rise in summer.
Have a safe trip!
They don't want to stress out with fainting passengers.
So they rather close down the non aircon car.
