I looked at five toilets with changing tables. Here's the result:

- accessibility toilet: fully out of commission

- 1 normal toilet: all fine

- 3 normal toilets: child changing tables straps broken or missing

With the ONE handicapped toilet out of commission I feel for the guy in the wheelchair on his 4 hr trip.

At least one member of the train staff is even angrier than me.

I so absolutely strongly dislike these shitty trains.

How the hell did international travel go from "quiet well functional comfortable passenger cabin" to "stuck in the smelly tiny toilet of a brand new train, requiring the strength of a strong adult to break out"

We passed several Belgian stations on the way:
- beetroot station of Noordenkempen/Brecht with its car parking lot and no bicycles in sight, just after the border,
- Antwerpen's undergrounds,
- Mechelen and its new canopy in construction,
- Brussels North, that the staff described as full of pickpockets. Quite funny considering the platforms were totally empty. The evening light was nice though!

Habemus "Buchfahrkarte" der "Eisenbahnen der Volksrepublik China". 💪

Fahrscheine für den Nachtzug nach Gia Lâm (Hanoi) gibt's (derzeit) nicht online, sondern nur an ausgewählten Schaltern (u.a. Guilin oder Nanning) und nur gegen Bargeld. Wechat oder AliPay werden für den Kauf dieses Tickets nicht akzeptiert.
Auch Rückfahrkarten gibt es nicht. Muss ich dann morgen in Hanoi besorgen.
