My only issue with Biden pardoning Hunter is if he stops there.

Biden should commute the death penalty for the 40 Americans on federal death row, cancel all student debt via EO & force Trump to revive them, & protect abortion nationwide via EO. Get bold. Take action. Slow down MAGA fascism! Fight!

@paulbottomley42 @QasimRashid No, they didn’t actually define the limits of power, or what is the delineation of official and unofficial acts of the office. They just said they can revisit the issue and be the final word in the future.

Pretty sure pardon power can’t be litigated and has no legal oversight, though I could be completely wrong on this. I think this is one reason republicans are mad, no legal fuckery to whip.

@anselmschueler It wasn't just debt, he was facing prison time for nonviolent crimes while violent criminals are poised to take over our nation. I just think it's tragic he didn't pardon any humans alongside the turkeys on Thanksgiving.

@QasimRashid Trump would never have allowed his son or any family member to be investigated by his own DOJ. He would have pardoned his family members multiple times over. Republicans don't seem to care about such matters, and Democrats should stop always taking the moral high ground and political correctness.

@QasimRashid I'm wishing but not hoping. We'll see. Biden is a lame-duck president. Lame-ducks have a great deal of power that they've occasionally exercised. Knowing Biden, been watching him for 40 years, he just might pull the trigger. But I'm not holding my breath.

I know Biden loves his country in a way Trump can't imagine. I hope Biden musters the courage to down what he can to protect democracy on his way out. At least, as you say, set the Trump agenda back. It will maybe give people the stark contrast they need to see what Trump is.
