Chair of the Hot Springs County, Wyoming Democrat Party. I live in a small town in the middle of deep red/scarlet BF Wyoming, US, that is home to (arguably) the World’s Largest Mineral Hot Springs, north of the spectacular Wind River Canyon & world class trout fishing. Retired but working. Passions=photography and computers. My pronouns are He/Him & Who, me? LGBTQ+ safe zone!

#wyoming is one of those Red states that’s getting the 🍊💩experience they voted for! Because every town and city is so distant, we have to do an inordinate amount of driving. A friend told me today he put 20 gal of diesel in his pickup today and it cost over $100.

I had to replace a toilet fill valve today. I have found Corky brand to be the easiest to install, set up, and they last.
18¢ federal high way tax on $4.56 per gallon gas only figures out to around 4% of the total price of a gallon of fuel. The government might as well continue collecting the taxes. It’s hardly worth it to drop the gasoline tax. The 🍊💩 would do better to stop the war and reopen the Straits of Hormuz!

yesterday I figured out how to install and run BentoPDF on my TrueNAS Scale home server. I’m tired of paying for subscription PDF editors that are constantly nagging me to buy more pay more. I even figured out how to update my TrueNAS Core to TrueNAS Scale. I’m not running the bleeding edge version but the version I’m running seems to be very stable and flexible. We’ll see how it goes!

I don’t need another app who’s sole purpose is to change the color of a period at the end of a sentence.
The unguided, uncontrolled proliferation of “apps” is growing to the point of mutually assured destruction. So many of them are hella complicated, with their 10 deep menus and their ridiculous design interfaces. Whatever happened to the KISS law of design?
