During lunch, we asked my in laws what restos they had been to lately (they are exploring their life in Toronto to the max). They said they really liked the restaurants on Bloor and how it was even cheaper than in Calgary because of all the competition.
8 jumps in and says someone can just charge very little for a while so every other restaurant goes out of business and then when they are the only restaurant around, they can raise their prices and make a lot of money.
