@FeralRobots @SwiftOnSecurity Agreed, at least not at a large scale. I thought a ban was kinda silly because TT’s mad drive to become QVC would probably alienate users faster than a ban could. I’ve certainly found the experience worse now that every 3rd or 4th video is trying to sell me something

Put another way, you might be able to hide poison in very sugary sodas, but if people are happily buying the soda, they’re already getting hurt, and on a much bigger scale.
TikTok is great for exploding nuance and demanding people do…something, NOW, or else you’re Team Evil, which cuts into people’s ability to work cohesively; who needs propaganda?

LevkaAnd America's literal capitalist propaganda is any better? Why? Not a rhetorical question. Be specific. Cite your sources. Include page numbers.

enoch_exe_inc@SwiftOnSecurity Most people who say this on social media are most definitely *not* independent thinkers and will believe anything as long as it’s authoritatively stated. I would know; on Twitter, I have deliberately spread propaganda on behalf of the CPC—and people have believed me even when my source is on the Chinese embassy’s website.
Are you seriously saying there is zero other use case that could go with your parameters, bruh?
