@SwiftOnSecurity the joke in my head is that Republicans in Congress want to ban TikTok because the “Chinese propaganda” in that app might drown out the Russian propaganda they’re already laundering

I probably don't use it enough but TikTok still so far looks to me like a gun that hasn't yet been fired, at least, propaganda-wise.

Put another way, you might be able to hide poison in very sugary sodas, but if people are happily buying the soda, they’re already getting hurt, and on a much bigger scale.

TikTok is great for exploding nuance and demanding people do…something, NOW, or else you’re Team Evil, which cuts into people’s ability to work cohesively; who needs propaganda?
