@specked @Grandalf @endantisemitism imagine that Hamas fully surrendered today -- would the conflict be over? Would Palestinians in the West Bank (where there's no Hamas) stop being evicted and shot? Would Palestinians have free movement and clean drinking water and prosperity? Israel's actions prolong the conflict. They'll never feel safe living next to sometime they treated like that
@specked @Grandalf @endantisemitism if you can't get past your extremely one sided view of this, how can you even imagine having peace?
@paulbiggar @Grandalf @endantisemitism Paul, I've delved into the history of the region, tracing it back to ancient times, and I recommend you do the same. Israel hasn't initiated this or any previous conflict it's been part of; what we're witnessing is a defense of one's sovereignty. How can you identify as a progressive and align with those advocating for the demise of those who don't share their beliefs, pushing for regression to the stone age?

@paulbiggar

>> imagine that Hamas fully surrendered today…

Imagine THAT!

>> Would Palestinians in the West Bank (where there's no Hamas…

#Hamas is everywhere. Close to 90% of Palestinians support Hamas and want #WestBank president Mahmoud #Abbas to resign ➡️ https://mastodon.social/@rameshgupta/111581267383494534

Regardless of Hamas surrender, #Palestinians ought to take destiny in their OWN hands instead of letting Hamas and #AxisOfResistance exploit them and fight #inTheirName only
