(To be clear, YCLAD is not my opening word. I’m a STARE man.)
When STARE comes up all gray, I go with CHINO second.
@gruber I usually go with MOUND, but that’s a good one too.
@gruber when LATER has no hits, I do SCION.
@jazaval @gruber Started out with ATONE, but then saw ADIEU mentioned and have pretty much gone with that ever since. Second guess gets as many of NORTY in as makes sense.
@gruber ARISE seems to click best for my brain. I believe SLATE is the most recommended one but it seemed to consistently stump me.
@gruber Face it, TIGER… you just hit the jackpot!
@gruber I always start with either RAISE/ARISE or STAKE/SKATE/STEAK
@gruber I guess we're just sharing everything now.
@gruber 👍STARE is the way to go
@gruber
For once in my life, I agree with Bill Gates. AUDIO.
@gruber my CRANE kung fu will defeat all!

@gruber mine was PLATE the last few months, which led to this yesterday 😳😳😳 🎉Wordle 670 1/6

@gruber STARE has rarely failed me since I started using it 16 months ago. Couldn’t possibly stop using it now for fear of it being todays Wordle 🤞
@gruber Mix it up! Try RATES, go crazy with ASTER, or even, dare I say, TEARS!
@gruber Usually I’m either a PEACH or NAKED guy
@gruber shear is the only way to go.
@gruber I go with ATONE and then depending on if anything hits, PRISM. Something with SRP for the second word depending on what letters I get in ATONE
@Phyrkrakr @gruber ATONE, and if nothing hits, VIRUS.
@gruber I rotate among SNARL, SMART, and CRYPT. I’m all about sussing out the consonants.
@gruber I use AROSE, then BUILT. That way you know all the vowels.
@gruber I use an anagram of yours. I put STEAR. One day it will come up.
@gruber AUDIO is the way, more vowels.
@gruber Adieu, adieu, adieu. Remember me.
@gruber not a single SOARE? (Type of Eagle iirc). Follow up with TULIP.
@gruber I was STEAR until I found out it wasn’t a possible solution. Switched to STARE and never looked back.
@gruber bread man here
@danwwright Why BREAD over TREAD?
@gruber because I’m a creature of habit and Bread was the first word I started with so I stick with it :)
@gruber used STARE today and I got it in two.
@gruber Later, then Sonic, then Bumpy
@gruber I start with CRATE and see what’s inside 😄
@gruber the words are different each day so I always change up my opener
