Hi, I’m Mel.

I have a huge amount of respect for the team working on watchOS and all the improvements we've seen in the latest release. It's probably my favorite Apple platform.

So when the watchOS app I use the most has design regressions, I have to say something. I hope the feedback is constructive and helps guide the product in a way that makes it more useful for folks like me.

0. Worship bandwagoning

1. Write a clickbait headline about an unannounced, yet unseen “Mixed Reality” Apple product

2. Compare its prospects to “Long History of Flops” of NON-Mixed Reality products by OTHER companies

3. Profit

One of the dumbest “improvements" I've seen on the Mac in ages. Totally breaks muscle memory because you have to click on file name, and I've been clicking on icons for the past 39 years.

Also, good luck viewing the video at 48x48 pt.

The thing I want to see at WWDC23 that's more important than a new AR/VR product?

Sendable warnings in Xcode that I can actually understand and take action on.

As it is now, I have no idea where to even start looking.

@gruber Loved the https://daringfireball.net/linked/2023/03/27/apple-passwords-deserve-an-app — Just realized I could dump about 98% of what I use iPassword for, and most of that other 2% isn't really super secret anyway, just stuff like driver licenses and whatnot.

@chockenberry I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SOLVE THIS FOR WEEKS.
Yes, she was born on Pi Day, so here is my favorite fact about pi: even if you know π to only the first 15 decimal places, you could calculate the circumference of the Earth and be off by less than 1/30,000th the width of a human hair.
