There was yet another Twitter API policy change last night: “good" bots may have light write-only API access.
This was instigated by, checks notes, someone Tweeting a picture of their cat.

@paul Starting to* think that running a company on the whims of reactionary right-wing billionaire is a bad idea.

@paul I think that they'll just end up grandfathering current API users because A) they're always late or B) nobody knows how to do what Elon wants.
Every decision Twitter makes has been delayed or walked back in some way. I think this'll be the same.
@paul I was joking to a friend last week that the API terms would get tweaked when the narcissistic asshole realized that accounts posting boob pics would go away.
So close.
@covercash @paul @chockenberry Someone with the type of money he has isn’t doing meth. He’s doing “medical grade” cocaine.
Weed’s legal here in IL, I smoke a LOT of weed. Never once do I have the urge to change my life on a whim or destroy an infrastructure built by 1000’s. I also have no desire to shout out “420” into the void… He’s still wanting to live that college life.
@chockenberry @paul I'm a big fan of this recent study from Sweden:

Extremely rich people are not extremely smart. Study in Sweden finds income is related to intelligence up to about the 90th percentile in income. Above that level, differences in income are not related to cognitive ability. https://academic.oup.com/esr/advance-article/doi/10.1093/esr/jcac076/7008955?login=false
