Yesterday, Elon Musk called former Twitter developer Ian Brown a "jackass" after Ian questioned his plans for a complete Twitter re-write.
The whole conversation was bonkers.

@atomicpoet This was so cringe, but telling.
Hotz was a coward for kicking Ian out... presumably, in a bid to "save" Musk the embarrassment.
And much like Musk, Hotz does not know what he is talking about either.
My jaw is on the ground.
If I was trying to write a parody of how out of it and bad at leadership this guy was and if *this* is what I wrote, people would say "ease up... it's not believable"
@noonedanger @futurebird @atomicpoet
So true. No one would think the social construct was in any way credible!
@rubberbullets @atomicpoet @davidgarywood it could also be “who are you? what are your credentials to question me?” or “who are you? are you being paid? what’s your agenda?”
there’s so many interpretations, and they’re all fascinating
@atomicpoet Yet again Musk is showing how weak he is in the space. He's got a plan to "rewrite" something that he's not even able to articulate clearly what it is, or what he means.
He was given a good opportunity, when he was asked (I thought clearly) if he was talking reform or revolution. His response "the crazy stack" is vague and very hand wavy (the sort of thing I hear from Jrs a LOT)
If Musk persists, he's effectively shutting down new features until a replacement "stack" is implemented - which is hardly going to increase "velocity" (The truth is, Musk fired all the knowledge, and nobody is left that understands what the stack is)
@atomicpoet Oh wow. That is utterly amazing, thanks for posting. The whole facade is crumbling away so fast.
I feel so embarrassed that I didn't see through it all sooner. I should've at least realized when he smashed the windows of the Cybertruck on stage.
@atomicpoet I watched this live
They do discuss the mess of databases and such after
But Musk is talking out of his ass through most of it
@atomicpoet It's so weird for someone to buy a tech firm when they want to throw away the tech stack, fire most of the employees, chase away the advertisers, and regularly insult the most valuable content creators.
What's the asset he paid for, then? The servers and the furniture?
@atomicpoet Just...astronomical moronity.
He overpaid already, then turned it into a dumpster fire.
Now he's got a money hose going from Tesla into Twitter to join the dumpster fire.
HFS. This is the conversation that happens every time a first year product manager comes in to a room full of straight up apex developers and tries to flex.
🤣🤣🤣
