For those wondering about Thor - heβs diabetic. His normal routine has him singing the song of his people starting at about 4am, convinced that I am starving him. I woke up at a bit before 6 and there was no sign of him. I found him in my closet sleeping on shoes.
He was totally uninterested in eating even his favorite treats. Thatβs not totally unusual for cats - they get into a lot of stuff that upsets their stomach, but he is diabetic now and 16 years old. Things can spiral out of control fast.
Spot hopes that Thor is back to his happiest self as soon as possible π±
@jerry I hope Thor feels normal soon!
Emergency vet visits are brutal, but it's always worth it.
I don't know if it's advisable with his 'beetus but we've had good luck augmenting the boring prescription foods with packets of kitten food, the chunks with gravy for our picky eaters.
Good luck!
@jerry Ahh, that makes sense.
We have a similar situation with Chupa (Adult) Bunyip and Wendigo (Young). Bunyip is underweight and Chupa is fat.
Feeding them separately is sometimes impossible when they don't want to be found and Chupa is an absolute vacuum cleaner if we free feed them.
