Today Zeme/ @sandor showcased his #zeST at Atari Invasion, a meeting of #Atari enthousiasts in Maarssen, the Netherlands. He played some demos including Closure, a demo that pushes the ST to its farthest limits, and the Synergy Megademo, in which he participated as Vulture/Odyssey, coder of the Symbiosis demo.

Thanks to him for his support! And if you missed his blog and are interested in Atari ST demoscene tricks and stories, you really should read it: https://blog.subspace.nl/

Some of these dongles actually work on #zeST. But:
- with an outdated stable release of #Buildroot from 2024.
- with an outdated #Linux kernel from 2023.

So older devices may be working, newer devices absolutely not.

Is it me, or management of Wi-Fi USB devices on #embedded #Linux platforms is particularly flaky?
I mean, some of my devices may work with certain kernel versions, some buildroot versions, and not others. In some cases, a device may be working once, then never again after a reboot.
This is delaying A LOT the upcoming release of #zeST. I am at a point in which I am tempted to remove everything related to Wi-Fi from the project.

Any experts on the subject here?
