"… Atze and his partner Alexa happily left AFAfest2026 in Prague. At 10:30 PM they made their way back to the hotel — across the Vyšehrad railway bridge. There they encountered a group of Nazis: some were standing on the bridge, others came toward them, and others came from behind. Atze and Alexa are visibly punk — reason enough for the Nazis to attack them. The group surrounded them both, brought Atze to the ground, and brutally kicked him with boots. Atze and Alexa were completely at the mercy of this situation and could only let it happen to them. Nobody came to help.

Thankfully, they didn’t kick him to death — but they seriously injured him: a broken nose, shattered teeth, a torn-open forehead and lips, bruises all over his body. Alexa, who is roughly half Atze’s weight, tried to carry him to safety on her shoulders after the Nazis let up. She called an ambulance. Someone called the police. So far, nobody has been arrested. …“
