#Capitalism would not exist without blind adherence to, at least, three fictions:

1. Legal Fiction: Ownership. Do we *really* own things? Or, are we just tenants as we pass through?

2. Political Fiction: Perfect competition. Capitalism can only perform as expected when monopoly is nonexistent. We ALL know this is never, ever, the case.

3. Scientific Fiction: Infinite Growth. Physics demands finite systems have finite thresholds. We act as if the earth is a perpetual cornucopia machine for the sole purpose of generating #YachtMoney.

We all know these points are axiomatic. And yet we continue to live the fictions.

It’s time we began living in reality.
