Had a really intense moment yesterday with a co-worker who had a conniption and accused me of being racist because apparently I'm not quite at the same point on the woke-scale as they are. This is exactly the sort of burn-it-all-down-everyone-has-to-be-as extreme-as-I-am-or-they're-a-racist attitude that makes enemies out of otherwise allies and partners. And there is an equally repulsive analog on the extreme right end of the spectrum too. And that's where we are all being pushed. #fail

The #Republican #tariff insanity will fail. Not only will it drive up prices because AMERICANS pay the #TariffTax on everything they buy, but it will also fail to bring both #jobs and #manufacturing to the USA. New industrial parks take YEARS to build, especially considering new supply chains that they depend on, and no company is going to make that investment when #Trump is out in 4 years, the American economy tanks, and the next president will reverse it all.

Too many people forget that criminal defense attorneys, especially public defenders, are good people who are willing to stand up to injustice and give their clients the best representation possible even when they are guilty.

The #PublicDefenders job is to defend, because no decent society would permit the government to imprison anyone without proving his or her guilt. These lawyers are absolutely essential to the so-called "justice" system. I think more people should recognize that.

I just have to point out that people selecting the nonsense option (JarJar Binks) almost triple the amount of people who say that being a #Christian and voting for Donald #Trump displays no fraudulence nor hypocrisy.
