The budget for rehabilitation has increased from 5.4 billion to 7.3 billion shekels, though officials indicate more funding is needed to provide adequate care for all injured personnel.
1. Total Injured Numbers:
- Approximately 12,000 IDF and security forces personnel have been registered with the Rehabilitation Division since the start of "Swords of Iron" revenge war in Gaza.
- #IDF's official count stands at 5,184 injured, but this doesn't include non-military security personnel like Shin Bet operatives, police officers, and emergency response team members
2. Northern Front (#Lebanon):
- 910 injured have been evacuated to hospitals in the north since the ground operation in Lebanon began (October 1)
- 140 of these have been admitted to the Rehabilitation Division
- This represents a 50% increase compared to the previous month
3. Injury Severity and Types:
- 14% of the injured are classified with moderate-severe injuries
- 8,500 are dealing with physical injuries
- 377 suffer from head injuries, with 23 requiring severe skull reconstruction
- 308 had eye injuries, with 12 losing their sight
- 104 suffer from spinal injuries
- About 60 have undergone amputations
- 5,200 have developed various psychological reactions
4. Demographics:
- 93% of the injured are men, 7% women
- 66% are reserve soldiers
- 51% are between ages 18-30
- About 1,500 have been injured twice during the war year
