This year's #flu is no joke. Not sure what mix of infections I have had, I'm guessing it might be a combo of a bad allergic reaction to some dust kicked up during yard work, then a flu, then a cough, one after the other. Either that or this particular virus just has a few stages of progression. Day 14 of it today. I may have caught it riding the train, or at work, or from my wife. She hasn't been quite as affected as me.
I received my flu #vaccine this year and generally kick anything after a week or so. I should have been more diligent about #masking in public. This is really something.
I worry that the #SuperBowl, being held tomorrow not far from here, will be a #superspreader event.

So sure. I tried to get into the band TOOL, since every intellectual metal head keeps banging on about how fucking great they are.

But then i read this and it confirms what i always thought about them. They are arrogant and pretentious posers.

Started off today boosting Plague Poems --indeed, I anticipate that public gatherings, even outside, are going to result in closely-packed unmask crowds because, well, it's outside, and 6 foot distance doesn't account for who is downwind from whom. Big question, too, is whether or not old COVID rules even apply because the current dominant variant is NB 1.8.1 and there are lots other non-dominant variants thanks to all you unmasked mutant farms roaming around out there.
