Posting this before the #basketball #FinalFour is over. Know what I hate about #basketball and #football? The best teams get one game to prove their worth at each level.
Baseball and hockey have #playoffs. You get a best-of-N to prove that you’re worthy. One bad game probably won’t end your season. In pro sports, you can try again next year. In college sports, sorry, you graduated; have fun working in insurance. And yes, I’ll say it: single-elimination is why the #SuperBowl sucks. It’s either luck or actual talent.
The Final Four should be fewer teams, more games; let the dominant teams earn an off-day. Let the college seniors with one bad game hope they don’t have two bad games. To the GenX-ers, let the winners win two and prove just how good they are.
The #BlueJays played the best seven games I’ve ever seen (and this is coming from a Yankees fan!). Let the Final Four force teams to prove their worth rather the ride a hot streak.
Four minutes left. Go Huskies.
