RROSA
And here's is a list of journals in my field(s) that don't suck, based on my (own, possibly evolving) criteria. I hope it grows over time, it's still pretty bleak.
https://marioangst.com/en/blog/posts/journals-list/
- #sustainability Science
- Policy Studies / Political science #polsci
- #networkscience
- #digitalization research
- #socsci methods
Please, if you know of other journals in those fields that don't suck, let me know. And if you are involved with one of the journals on these lists, thanks so much for your work, you rock. And if you need reviewing or anything I can help with, let me know.
Looking for a #Mastodon instance focusing on #humanities etc. Basically #learning / #education with a humanities & #socialsciences slant, especially about #books & ideas
I found zirk.us. Scrolled a bit and it's not as "let's all learn, all the time" as I was perhaps hoping (as unrealistic as that may be), but #zirkus does look promising.
Anyone know a better instance? Maybe humanities / #socsci #academics?
#religioustudies #reading #sociology #psychology #nonfiction #philosophy #history
So, by way of introduction:
I'm Associate Professor and Director of Education @ the Center for Bioethics and Humanities at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
I'm trained as an attorney, a historian of medicine & public health, and a public health ethicist. My background is in the humanities but I live in a #socsci world. #Interdisciplinary
Outside of work, I'm a brown belt in jiujitsu (10 years), and love coffee, Batman, and Star Wars. Glad to be here!
Probably want some # for that.

Let's see if there are boost groups:
OK that's all I can find for you.
Good luck!
I'm cool with trying to be more active here on #Mastodon but I'd also like to find a more specific and germane instance than the big Social server.
Where are #academics congregating on here? Especially #humanities and #socsci academics?
How has social science qualitative research changed in the past ten years? What does qualitative research do differently today?
