One of the reasons I wanted to create a regional instance was because I thought regional instances would be the “right size” for artists to both have enough organic connection to find people interested in purchase, and to act as community gathering places, to make that “local artists” feel.
Which is a long winded way of saying, we’d love to have you at socialbc if you’re interested.

There are a number of great candidates for Leader of the NDP, but I think Tanille is one of the best. She's the 'dark horse' to use one of those outdated terms that pundits love.

He finished around 3:30AM but if folks want to send him some thank yous for when he rises that would be nice!
Some processes are catching up in the background including DNS and search indexing but otherwise things should appear normal.

Most things should be normal at this point. Full-text search will still take a while to fully come back online. Some backlogged posts from the rest of fedi might still arrive, but most should already have caught up with us.
If you spot any problems, please let us know.
I'm off to bed while James continues! The backup transfer should complete by around 1AM, then the real migration and standup of the new server will take place.
If all goes super smooth, things might be up and running before I wake up around 8AM... or we might not. Fingers Crossed for smooth sailing and next updates in the morning!
