There has been a small herd of elk bedding down in a field just north of #Ladysmith for the past few days and people have been pulling off the highway to photograph, watch, and just enjoy seeing them. #VancouverIsland #pnw

I don’t take as much advantage as I should of living where I do on the edge of the #SalishSea but today we took a friend out to Thetis Island pub for lunch and then had drinks and snacks at the bistro in #Ladysmith harbour on the return. Wonderful day. Now to finish with a #Mariners sweep to make it perfect. #VancouverIsland #pnw

"New water fountain for the feral guy. He's still so wary of anything new in his environment (of course). It's so cute when he grabs the crunchies with his paw and pulls them toward himself. 😂 He is now coming down one flight of stairs regularly to look onto the main floor. So brave! 💗"
