Just a semiperiodical heads up that Swancon - #WesternAustralia 's beloved Science Fiction and #Fantasy #SpeculativeFiction volunteer run convention will be turning the big 50 next year, wow!

In keeping with this spectacular achievement, a spectacular venue - the beautiful Pagoda Hotel and spa.

In addition, it's recently announced that Swancon50 will be the National SF Convention for Australia, which brings in Tansy Rayner Roberts (Livia Day) as Guest of Honour! The other Guests of Honour are not to be sneezed at either!

This is community run event, as always, staffed entirely by volunteers. There will be panels, discussions, workshops, games and costumes, dancing and singing with a friendly and inclusive atomosphere.

Unlike Comicon or Supanova, once you're in the door, panels and such are free entry. Workshops might incur a fee for materials.

**Major Announcement Time**

GenghisCon 2025 now has a date: **Sat 18th and Sun 19th of January**.

We also have a new Venue. Getting back to the original roots of the convention we will be hosting GenghisCon 2025 at **Curtin University** in Bentley. We are working with the **Curtin Guild, Events and Explore teams** to make this coming convention bigger and better than ever.

This also means we will have **Accommodation** available once again. There are multiple accommodation options within 50m of the convention. We will aim to get a group booking going so stay tuned for accommodation options to be announced soon.

With this announcement we will also be opening up **Panel, Workshop and Game Submissions** from the Members and Wider Community. If you would like to see something occur please put the people or organisation in touch with us as we can help support local groups to bring their skills to GenghisCon for everyone to enjoy.
