The nine biomechanical women sat around a table in a cafe, with various drinks in front of them.
Wisteria took a sip of her long mac, "For all that he is a real bit of work, Prof Russim did do good work on us. I mean he could have left out things like a digestive tract, taste buds, and other fun things."
Annette nodded, "All the same, he does need to be stopped. Jen has stopped him from killing anyone - yet, but it really is only a matter of time."
Lucy, the newest member of the group, softly spoke. "That is why I wanted us to talk outside of the house. I'm worried about Jennifer."
Annette tipped her head a little "Worried about her? She's pretty tough."
"Yes, but let's face it, she is not the brightest lamp in the display," at the looks the others gave her Lucy continued "She's not stupid, but she does miss a lot of things that maybe she shouldn't. For example, whenever the Prof makes one of us, there is a clear pattern, but she never spots it."
The others paused. Veronica looked thoughtful, and mused "You know, she's right. Jen should have spotted the pattern by now. I mean, we knew Lucy was on the way. That's why Annette was waiting for her."
The others nodded in agreement.
Siobhan asked worriedly "Do you think something's been done to her?"
"No...", Lucy stretched it out a little, "I don't think so. I just think she's not much of a detective."
Betty looked around "So what do we do?"
Sarah looked grim "What Wissy should have done before he made the rest of us. We stop him. Properly."
They all looked at each other. "I'm still glad I waited," Wisteria said "because I got all of you. But you are right. We need to do something about him."
Angelina spoke up "Maybe we can get Alison to lend a hand." Alison was a lava elemental that had started visiting. Jennifer's super power of flame control protected her from Alison's body of molten rock.
Aurora shook her head "No, Alison, for all her power is a civilian."
Harriet, who had been quiet until now, put her hands on the table "Right then. We know how to find him. Finish your drinks, and let's get him."
When Jennifer got home from her day job, the house was unusually empty, but there was a note on the kitchen table: "Running errands. Back later." Scratching her head, "Errands?", she asked of the empty house.
