The Man Who Has Played Over 9,500 Board Games
Folks, I got a new job!
And the best part? It’s a roll-and-write ;)
My 102nd newsletter issue follows my full journey through the career mode of Midtown Mall.

Any recommendations for where to seek folks for a Godot commission?
One of my latest board game designs needs 3D physics that I've not been able to replicate on existing virtual tabletop platforms so am looking for a minimal sandbox environment to be able to playtest and demo online.
Has been a while since I painted miniatures.
It always takes more time than expected, but once started it's just fun.
These three lovelies are enemies for our Tainted Grail boardgame campaign:
The Fore-Dweller, an nonhuman knight constantly on our trail.
The Underbrush Wyrm, which we encountered several times.
And the Kelpie, with a tongue resembling a woman, to lure unsuspecting travellers to the water, which we have not met yet.
Neue Heimat (The Estates)
This is OOP and expensive, so I crafted my own set according to instructions at BGG.
We played it last night. It's very cut throat and chaotic. Definitely one for people with thick skins. It's unintuitive, so needs repeat plays.
Very pleased I made the effort. There is a free, cards-only PNP option, which is probably a safer time investment.

My partner got me the Slay the Spire boardgame for my birthday, and yesterday we died to the Act II boss! I know everyone is saying it, but damn is that a good adaptation, really really good!!!
