Let's be clear--BBC wanted to

*I don't say that lightly--my father was a voice on the BBC World Service, back in the days when they had fucking standards.

This is really sad. Robin is just as much of a national treasure as Brian Cox. He's got his head screwed on properly. The BBC hasn't got a head.
