I have to wonder: What is #BrianCox but an infinite disappointment, leaving #RobinInce alone in this.

The BBC Chose Transphobia over Science

This is really sad. Robin is just as much of a national treasure as Brian Cox. He's got his head screwed on properly. The BBC hasn't got a head.

I named my company 'The Infinite Monkey Lab' because I loved their show so much. So long and thanks for all the thoughtful laughs.

Hey, @futurebird

With the ever increasing news cycle (just today has been a ride), you may be seeing mentions of or may not have heard about comedian Robin Ince resigning from #TheInfiniteMonkeyCage a BBC Radio4 science/education show which he co-hosted/co-created with professional non-actor physicist Professor Brian Cox. The issue seems partly Trump related along with an on-going restricting by the BBC of what BBC talent (... which included Robin ...) are allowed to say outside of their work for the BBC.

Robin joined mastodon.social recently.
@robinince

Good article and more on #RobinInce leaving the excellent #TheInfiniteMonkeyCage including his farewell speech to his last audience.

This is sad news for the excellent #TheInfiniteMonkeyCage and for true, fair and free speech. The comments from #RobinInce do give me pause. At first I thought he was wrong to leave, stay and keep speaking, but...

Comedian Robin Ince quits Radio 4 show, claiming BBC found his views ‘problematic’

Ince says he resigned as co-host of Infinite Monkey Cage because of what he described as his lack of ‘obedience’

@robinince perhaps, Robin, you can persuade Brian to join you and produce #TheInfiniteMonkeyCage as a podcast and thus be free of the BBC. Or is the brand owned by the corporation?
I know you'd have heaps of support if you did.

Welcome @robinince to the Fediverse 👋

While traveling and on long walks I have immense pleasure listening through #TheInfiniteMonkeyCage episodes.

Got to 23 Jan 2017 Science's Epic Fails one, and have 133 glorious unlisted ones still to enjoy.

Keep'em coming thank you 🐒

I'm a fan of science-comedy #BBCRadio #Radio4 show #TheInfiniteMonkeyCage , great to see co-host Robin Ince here on the #Fediverse !

(Brian Cox {don't ask which!} is probably too busy resting in his Gou'auld sarcophagus restoring his youthful appearance & lustrous locks.)

The Infinite Monkey Cage episode with my "Things can Only Get Better" gag is finally available to download.

It's all about Brain Computer Interfaces

Need to listen to see if I make the edit

BBC

An audience member of a #BBCRadio #Radio4 #Comedy show (maybe The Now Show or #TheInfiniteMonkeyCage) invented the word "ego-dusting": the quick clean you do before the cleaner arrives, so that you're less embarrassed by the state of your home.

I just did a bit of "ego-gardening", so as to not be so embarrassed by the state of our garden when the gardeners arrive :)
