Phil HaighReading Robin Ince’s posts about his resignation and wondering what’s next. The BBC appear to want to continue with the Infinite Monkey Cage despite it being Robin’s creation. I don’t think they realise what the program was, it the fact that it revolved around Robin and Brian’ chemistry. The Infinite Monkey Cage at the BBC is dead, like it or not.
And who would listen to a re-launched show anyway? It won’t be me despite having listened from the beginning, and I’m guessing a significant proportion on its long term listenership will be the same. It’s not the infinite monkey cage without Robin. And I can’t see Brian Cox continuing. #InfiniteMonkeyCage
