Windows 11 fought back – but I finally got drivers installed by a 'side route' on ‘my’ new laptop for a 2008 Dell 1320c colour laser printer (it was $100 brand new in 2009, surplus to my previous work's requirements - and this little appliance has done me a solid, supplies are cheap, worth fighting for…)

I fucking hate #PrinterDrivers. I spent hours today troubleshooting issues.

At the end, I found out that Android is unable to print on my Samsung CLP-365 unless both raw TCP printing and SNMP are enabled. Like, WTF!? Why isn't IPP enough!?

I feel like requiring so many "extra protocols" to be enabled is a cybersecurity fuck up as it increases the attack surface.
