I watched it from its perch in the last photo, fly right at me but go out of sight due to a bush on the shore before landing across the pond. It looked like it had something so I shot away.
Even at 600mm I was unsure of what it caught until I zoomed in. These birds like many other's in the area catch and eat way more fish than I thought!
