🇦🇹 Kiebitz in der Morgensonne. Liege ich da so am Boden, um die Flussregenpfeifer zu fotografieren, als ich auf einmal aus den Augenwinkeln Bewegung sehe. Hat sich ein Kiebitz auf ein paar Meter genähert 🙂

I was lying on the ground photographing some little ringed plovers when I suddenly saw movement out of the corner of my eye. A lapwing had approached to within a few meters 🙂

Mississippi Kites have migrated into the area with their beautiful two note cry, and acrobatic capture of insects in mid air. They love cicadas, and will devour them while gliding overhead (discarding the bits they don’t like). Still cannot sit at the workstation so images are meh. Getting closer.
