autumnleavesI saw a tufted duck today over near Oracle HQ, on the Bay. Pretty cool. Poor guy must’ve been blown off course, since this is far, far from their native range. Also saw a belted kingfisher hanging over the pond, which was rad. Two lifers for me!

I watched it from its perch in the last photo, fly right at me but go out of sight due to a bush on the shore before landing across the pond. It looked like it had something so I shot away.
Even at 600mm I was unsure of what it caught until I zoomed in. These birds like many other's in the area catch and eat way more fish than I thought!
Very excited to capture these!
