I just found this blog post about how to make #music using #pwm on #lego #powerfunctions #motors. not that I want to, but there is quite some technical information in there.
Gets me thinking about building a simple #train motor Forth library. To run on a microcontroller inside your #locomotive to which you connect via wifi ... hmmm ... @f4grx what do you think?!

So I built a simple adapter-cable for a common 9V Li-Ion rechargeable battery (370 mAh) to feed my no-name #PowerFunctions (2.4GHz) #receiver and #motor. This saves so much space, I am seriously considering to use this solution instead of the 6x AAA #Battery #Box
The new loco (german BR 101) runs very well...

I built the #BlueBrixx BR 101 (german electric locomotive) today.
The gray roof section differs slightly from the original BlueBrixx design since I placed a no-name #PowerFunctions battery box below that section and had to make sure I can access the power button. A no-name 2.4GHz receiver is also hidden inside the loco.
I didn't hurry and enjoyed the whole process of building, sometimes taking a short break - so no wonder it took me about 2 1/2 hours to finish.
I will test drive it tomorrow, need to get the tracks from the basement first.
