This past weekend, I constructed a couple more of the MegaBloks' Pokémon kits.

This time we've got Fidough and Pachirisu. They are so very cute! Needed to get a cute picture of them outside. Wild 'Mons in the tall grass.

I really enjoy these kits and it's too bad that they're no longer being made.

I started building the Lumibricks Alpine Observatory by emptying all the envelopes of bricks into the box. I like delving around in the pile of bricks as an exercise in mindfulness. I think it goes back to 60+ years ago, when an old freezer drawer full of bricks kept me happy for hours at a time.

I'm impressed by the quality and quantity of the printed bricks and the complete absence of stickers. Less impressive was the lack of diversity in the minifigs - all white men. The inclusion of a screwdriver and needle-nose tweezers makes things interesting - they are needed for fitting the lights.

Made a few more of the MegaBloks' Pokémon kits over my long weekend. Two of my kids helped me out a little bit...only a little bit.

Cubone and Squirtle two pack. They both look cute.

Had to put them next to their tiny plastic figurines I happened to have.

Yes, I do like these kits. It's too bad they're disappearing.

I saw this block building kit at Walgreens. It was a Peeps basket. Looked very cute as a decoration for Easter, so I got it and built it on my lunch break at work yesterday.

It looks very cute in my office and went together nicely.

Would get another kit from Brick Craft to try out.

I was at Five Below with the kids this past weekend and for $1, I found a bin that had some Retro Blocks block building kits from Block Tech. They had a number of 80s looking items, including this faux Gameboy with the wrong number of buttons.

I've not done any Block Tech kits before and wasn't sure how well they held up, but for a buck, I was willing to take the risk.

It connected together pretty easy. Easy enough instructions and it looks like a cute, fake Gameboy.

Would get another one.

If I told you a picture is not enough to share the building brick train station, last year I would not have believed myself.

I started building this year's #WinterVillage and began with something very #NotLego, Fun Whole's "Ski Lodge". It's a tad bigger than I thought (as I ignored the size info when I bought it).

On to the next building.
