Steamtown's own "Big Boy" No. 4012, getting ready for Union Pacific "Big Boy" No. 4014's visit in May. I believe this was just a cosmetic restoration, not put back into service. But it's still a very nice job! This languished for years at Steamtown, and I honestly thought it would just rot/rust away (it looked awful). Kudos to the volunteers for bringing No. 4012 this far back! 😀
