I got a nerve plant from a big box store and it's still in the plastic pot it came in.

I forgot it and it's been sitting in the dark in a dry room.

It was droopy and felt a lil crunchy so I bottom watered.

This morning all the leaves look good and are no longer drooping except one.

- what is bright indirect light? All my windows face East. Does it need a plant light?

- will that leaf recover or do I need to remove it?

- my neighbor said this plant HAS to go in a terrarium or I'll kill it, is this true or can I just get a humidifier for it?

- how do I know if there's too much plant in this pot? I think it might be more than one in here because the leaves are fully coverting the dirt.

Hey hey #houseplant folks, any pruning advice? I have this Hawaiian Pothos (Georgiana!) that used to have GINORMOUS plentiful leaves, and after a few years has become this vine-heavy, tiny-leaved, scrawny thing. Houseplant books are great for identifying species and basic care, but do a really poor job of helping one understand pruning over time. Anyone have tips, or a favorite book or website that teaches pruning?

Garden ID help: These are the seed pods, they rattle like dried poppy. Came from what looked like a solo, out of place, ornamental flower/grass (broad and flat like iris). At least 7 feet tall! No photo of plant though sorry. Located in a place with lots of weird specimens so it could be anything! In shade. Not a shrub/tree. UK/Cotswolds.

Please help, Mastodon gardeners and plant experts! I was away for about a month, and came back to find this monster of a plant in my yard. It’s in a location that shouldn’t be growing anything (full sun, gets very hot, all other plants there died years ago, etc.). Occasionally small, familiar weeds pop up but nothing like this. Anytime know what it is? A new weed? Uninvited but friendly bush? Man-eating alien in disguise? Help!

christmas cactus help requested from the #gardening world!

this is a very old cactus whose roots have basically rotted completely away. it lives in my mom's house. she says she has special "cactus potting mix" and that we should just transplant it. but given the lack of roots, who knows.

does anyone else have tips for bringing this poor friend back? its neighbor in pic 2 is doing ok!

Hi #Plantstadon does anyone know what keeps causing this mould (I think it’s mould) to keep growing on the soil of my aloe vera plant?

I’ve cleaned it out before and changed the soil but it keeps coming back, none of his babies have had this issue??

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I’d greatly appreciate it I don’t want to lose him 😭
