Klein maar flink. Mijn *Nepenthes alata* maakt gestaag nieuwe bekers, die opkomen uit een weelderig tapijt van levend sphagnum. Deze Filipijnse hooglandsoort is een van de meest aanpasbare Nepenthes — robuust, snelgroeiend en altijd klaar om te vangen. Zelfs als jonge plant zijn die kleine bekertjes al volledig functioneel. 🪰

Nieuwe bekerknopjes zien ontvouwen is een van de kleine vreugdes van het kweken van vleesetende planten binnen.
