I heard about these "unboxing" videos. But I don't get it. Why would I want to watch someone open a box? Is this what the people want? There's no harm in finding out. This is the first photo of my "unboxing" of a new Usaburo kokeshi doll. As you can see, my other Usaburo kokeshi dolls were curious about what was going on - so they decided to join me of their own volition.

In September, I purchased a Teracube 2e phone preloaded with /e/ OS, and I have used it as a daily driver since. I took this photo with my Kodak PIXPRO AZ421 camera for an article (finally) reviewing the phone. Unfortunately, I did not have it retouched like most of the photos I use, so it's a bit rough. Note I am using the Kiss Launcher on my phone instead of /e/'s default Bliss Launcher.

I took this photo of the moon on a late February 2021 afternoon in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. I used my Kodak PIXPRO AZ421 camera.

I used the photo for a feature-length article I wrote examining the anecdotal story that Natsume Soseki translated "I love you" from English to Japanese as "Tsuki ga kirei desu ne" (the Moon is beautiful, isn't it?). Have a seat? A discarded chair seen in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York - Pacific Street, to be specific. It was in very nice condition. I hope it found a good home.
