A goose in Brooklyn Bridge Park stares at the Statue of Liberty. To be sure, it was not actually staring at the Statue of Liberty, but sometimes your photograph just works out that way. I took these two photos at 7:34 and 7:36 PM on May 4, 2025 from the Fruit Street Sitting Area in Brooklyn Heights (NYC). This is between the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and the long hill leading down to DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge Park. As you can see, it was very foggy that evening and the fog obscured the Manhattan Skyline. In the bottom-right corner of the second photo you can see a wooden bridge which leads down to Brooklyn Bridge Park.

I took this photograph from the end of Grace Court in Brooklyn Heights. The road-way is the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway ("BQE"). You can see one of the piers of Brooklyn Bridge Park before we reach the East River. In the background, of course, is the iconic Manhattan Skyline and, in the far right, the Brooklyn Bridge. The two buildings with the odd blue and purple lighting are the Freedom Tower (left) and City Hall (right).

I saw a Tesla Cybertruck parked at Brooklyn Bridge Park. That same week, I read a post criticizing the design of the Cybertruck and offering many unfavorable comparisons. While my sentiments about the Cybertruck's design are not too far out of step with those of the post, I had my own comparison in mind. When I see a Cybertruck, I think of the first car racing game I owned: Virtua Racing Deluxe for the Sega 32X.

Here is a quick #sketch I took at #brooklynbridgepark I want to have the last panel of my next page of "Animals of the Apple" have the Brooklyn Bridge in the background, but after making this sketch I might put good I'll Lady Liberty in instead.
